Linda passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2025, after a long and courageous journey with metastatic breast cancer.

Early Life

Born in Boston to the late Ada M. (Prosperi) and Joseph A. Cammarata, Linda grew up and was educated in Quincy, graduating from North Quincy High School β€” Class of 1968.

She later relocated to Braintree, where she and her late husband raised their family. The couple lived in Braintree for over 45 years.

Career & Passions

Immediately after high school, Linda began working at the former Boston Edison Company in 1968, serving as an administrative clerk in the credit and collections department. She dedicated 12 years to the role before retiring in 1980 to devote herself fully to raising her daughter.

Linda loved traveling and especially cherished family vacations β€” destinations included Disney World, Florida, Hilton Head Island, and Aruba. She adored the ocean and found joy in beach days, including at her summer home in Falmouth.

A lifelong book lover, she was almost never seen without a book in hand β€” reading brought her comfort and happiness from a young age onward.

Family & Loved Ones

Linda was the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Antoniou (β€œTony”), with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina (Antoniou) Whitelaw, her son-in-law Christopher, and her two adored granddaughters, Sophia Antoniou and Marina Antoniou β€” who brought her great joy.

Additionally, she is survived by many cousins (such as Susan Vickery and Christine Inman), in-laws (including Charles Antoniou and his wife Yvette), nieces and nephews (like Taryn Antoniou and Mark Antoniou), and many dear friends who stood by her throughout her life.

Funeral & Memorial Information

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree, on Friday, December 5, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be prior to the Mass at Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals (1 Independence Avenue, Quincy) from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
