What happened

Rebecca Park, a 22-year-old woman, was about 38–39 weeks pregnant when she disappeared.
She was last seen on November 3, 2025, getting into a dark-colored vehicle outside her biological mother’s house in Boon Township, Michigan.
Her cellphone was discovered shortly after, but investigators found no sign of activity on her phone, bank, or social-media accounts — suggesting she vanished willingly or under duress
A massive search involving police, volunteers (on foot, with drones, horses, and K-9 units), and community members ensued.

On November 25, 2025, a body was discovered in Manistee National Forest, near where Rebecca was last seen. The body resembled Rebecca — her father reportedly found it during a personal search.
An autopsy has since confirmed the body is Rebecca Park’s. Officials also confirmed that her baby was not with her body.
The cause of death hasn’t been publicly confirmed yet, but the circumstances are described by prosecutors as extremely disturbing.

The biological mother of Rebecca, Cortney Bartholomew (age 40), and her stepfather, Bradly Bartholomew (age 47), have been arrested and charged with a range of serious offences: first-degree murder, torture, unlawful imprisonment, and (in relation to the unborn child) possibly causing miscarriage/stillbirth.
Their alleged crime: Prosecutors allege that they lured Rebecca to their home, then forced her into a vehicle, took her to a remote forest, stabbed her, and removed the unborn baby from her womb — resulting in both the mother’s and baby’s death. The prosecution has described it as “evil personified.”
Additionally, other people connected to Rebecca — namely her sister, Kimberly Park, and her fiancé, Richard Falor — have also been arrested. Kimberly faces charges of tampering with evidence, lying to police, and filing a false report; Richard is facing drug-related charges.

The unborn baby Rebecca was carrying has not been found. At the time the body was identified, medical examiners confirmed that the child was not with the body.
As of now, authorities are still investigating. The whereabouts of the baby — whether alive or deceased — remain unknown.
Multiple law-enforcement agencies, including local sheriff’s deputies and state police, are involved in the investigation.
